About Me

If I could only tell you one thing, it’s this: I love to solve problems with words.
I’ve been a professional writer and editor since 1993, and I absolutely love what I do. Nowadays, that means doing a ton of online creative—and integrating it across social media in a way that’s smart and effective.

The Hungry Mouse
Over the last three years, my food blog, The Hungry Mouse, has grown into a nationally recognized website with 150,000+ readers each month and a large, regular following on Facebook (5,000+ fans & 4,000+ friends) and Twitter (3,500+ followers).

Copywriter, journalist, and editor—all apply
My experience also includes writing online copy, brochures, and direct mail for ad agencies and large financial firms, reviewing restaurants in 250 words or less, and editing books for Harvard University.

I’ve published more than 600 articles on food, health, and travel—and served as the editor of two monthly trade newspapers. (Ask me about the time I interviewed Second Lady Tipper Gore at the White House.)

I just published my first cookbook, A Holiday Feast.
